How does the method of calculating zakat?
There are two (2) methods of calculating zakat :
Method One – Working Capital
[(Current Assets – Current Liabilities) +/- Adjustment] x% ownership Shares Muslim x 2.5%
Method Two – Emerging Capital
[(Owners’ equity + Long Term Liabilities – Fixed Assets – Non Current Assets) +/- Adjustment] x% ownership Shares Muslim x 2.5%
